Text mode

Text chat with strangers

No camera, no microphone, no coins. It is the one mode that costs nothing to run — and the sensible place to start if you have never done this.

What text mode actually costs

So what do I need to give you before I can start?
Nothing. No account, no email, no camera, no microphone.
And how many free messages do I get?
It does not work that way here. Text matching does not draw on your free rounds and does not spend coins. There is no counter running.

Which makes it the honest place to start

Why would you give that away?
Because the thing most people actually need to find out is whether random matching suits them at all — and nobody should have to pay to answer that question.

Four things that are true about it

No device permissions, at all

Text mode never asks for your camera and never asks for your microphone. There is no prompt to dismiss and nothing to reverse in your browser settings afterwards.

Messages do have history

Worth stating plainly, because a lot of sites round this off to "nothing is stored". Calls are not recorded — but what you type is a different matter, and it has a history. Type accordingly.

Same matching, same Next

One person at a time, random, with skip available whenever. Text is a different channel, not a lesser queue or a separate pool.

You can move up mid-session

Mode is chosen per match. Starting in text does not lock you into it — when typing starts feeling like the bottleneck, take the next one in voice or video.
